Status Updates From X-Men: X of Swords

I'm still loving this. Normally I don't like when books come with maps because it starts to feel too much like schoolwork, but the map in this is helpful and has clarified a few things for me.

Anyway, I'm talking-to-myself updating so much lol; I'll just keep reading this tonight and then post occasional updates on it in future. At the least, what I've read of this so far helped me get my comic-reading mojo back.

Yikes--to the one panel in here with the big Lovecraftian monster!!

This is like an epic fantasy novel--except it's told in pictures....

There is quite a bit of text though, and the only snag here is: the text is upper- and lowercase--ugh.

I thought I had the wrong issue when I added this earlier, but this IS the right issue. The page count is a lot lower here than on Amazon--there it's 708. This might be too long for me, but so far, I think it's great, and if that holds, I WILL be able to finish it. It has a really interesting use of color and look to it, like it's slightly manga. And the mutant mythology stuff is just great--like I seriously love it.
