Reading chapter 3 and amazed by how the mobile-first trend grew in China. It is very creative how the Chinese do business. Eg, it is a genius idea that wechat starts mobile payment by allowing users to send a digital red envelope to friends and relatives

Continuing and finishing chapter 2. Here it is fun to read about the juggernauts in Chinese market and how they fiercely compete with each other, even using dirty tricks.

Provides a very interesting and informative view of China’s digital innovation/ entrepreneurial space, and how it differs from the culture and trajectory of Silicon Valley based competitors so far. First three chapters give
a background the rise of the giants in Chinas digital economy, and not so much AI. Definitely noticing a more “pro-china” bias.

Chapter 2 is about China as a copycat. Here the copyrights are not respected, and China companies copy as many as they could. This is a way of learning, since China is long delayed by the Cultural Revolution while US can pass down the knowlged from generation to generation
