this weird little freak, i am enjoying him greatly!

the historical context here is stunning; the way the church infiltrated the minds of scholars and “simple” people alike with superstition and hatred, all under the guise of faith.

the prose is stunning too, getting a real look inside of Tyll and his aloof father with his Latin texts and a mind meant for more than a miller’s position. life certainly finds us all in unexpected scenarios

ooooo the storytelling so far is exquisite, I like it when historical fiction blends folklore and real fact!
