I have accessed some opinions on this book. They all follow the same blah-blahs as in the text above. I think I need an origin transplant, urgently.

I'm starting to worry. It's the first H.James I've read, and I'm a bit confused. So far, I have only witnessed easy dialogues, the kind that revolves around the tail...The book has only 89 pages, so I hope something, anything, happens. Do something, H.James !

- I haven't got any teeth to hurt. I have only got seven teeth. My mother counted them last night. She said she'd slap me if any more came out. I can't help it. It's this old Europe. It's the climate that makes them come out. In America they didn't come out. "
