definition of an auteur. he is dedicated to his vision and his only, though not at the expense of the viewer. no wonder his movies are so specifically crafted. he seems incredibly strong willed in his approach to film, both theoretical and practical. skipped an interview cause i hadn’t seen the film discussed (Time of the Wolf). will loop back around when i do!

Fell off reading for a bit- picked up some new stuff at the local library. I'm getting back into it! That wonderous Italo Calvino novel waits for me once I get my groove back.

Anyways, Haneke is a master and it's so great to hear him talk about the amazing films he's made. My connection to the films is young and fresh- hearing his perspectives will really help rewatches.
