I'm so frustrated because I want her to say everything so we can move on, but at the same time 1. they aren't giving her reason to say anything since it is like she's punished for saying the truth and 2. she's traumatized! Obviously she is going to be quiet. It makes no sense to have her locked up in [essentially] solitary.

Oh, Miles. You fool! I forgot that this book ended like this. Thank goodness book 5 comes out tomorrow.

I really do love this moment between Bianca and Julian.

I'd completely forgotten about Mu confronting Bianca as well. She finds him rather annoying. It's funny because they're the same person, but not.

To help Bianca, Julian ended up being forced to break a promise with Mu, but it was very enlightening, those memories. And not to mention Mu pulling Shui aside to talk to him about it. And to reveal why he's a female this time. Seems it really was on purpose. Is he trying to force a change on their community? And to mess with Huo/Damen. Very interesting indeed. I need to know more.

Every time Bianca gets an up a down seems to follow swiftly. She just had a really bad attack after seeing a picture of her mother.

That fun moment became so serious so suddenly.

I'm giggling again. I love this scene of Bryce challenging Bianca to a first person shooter and getting his ass kick. Finn tried to warn him, but Bianca told him to shut up. I'm dying right now.

Titus really is a goner when it comes to Bianca. He's always been in love with Mu, but he recognizes that Bianca is changed from the original Mu and perhaps that along with her being female triggered the mate bond.

I'd forgotten Miles called in Bianca's parents. Totally forgot they were witches. It's really weird that they were raising a fae child. Maybe that's part of why they were so horrible at raising her and made such idiotic decisions when hiding her abilities. They didn't truly understand the first thing about how to raise a fae. Abigail's personality and Jonathan's silence sure didn't help, either.

Bianca and Finn seem to be making up. Though his lessons in trying to teach her meditation aren't going so well. He seems to believe in this incarnation, she is exhibiting clairvoyance. Considering some of her searches and thoughts and things that have happened, he may not be wrong. Also, Bianca's dormmate Jiayi is a bit off.

Bianca just found out that her birth mother is dead.

Finn seems to be trying to get Bianca to talk to him by annoying her to death.

Kayla is seriously in love with Finn, aye? And she doesn't seem to hate Bianca despite Finn's feelings for her. Well, at least now Bianca will finally get to bond with her adoptive sister and another female. She needs more women in her life. The guys are great, but they'll smother her and let her do whatever she wants all the time.

Julian just found out his cousin Kayla has feelings for Finn. Finn seems to be totally in love with Bianca, though. I wonder if Kayla has ever been jealous of that. Most women would be in her place. Especially since Bianca can't return those feelings despite feeling like she was in love with Finn before. I'm not sure if she could truly love anyone outside of her quintet.

These series has some serious topics in it, plenty of them dark. However, Bianca is fucking hilarious at times. I can't stop giggling right now.

Now it's a five way bond. How messy. And all because Mu has kept too many secrets. I need Bianca to start remembering her past lives because Mu has been up to too many dealings in the dark. They seem to be about protecting the others, but Mu always ends up suffering which hurts the others. I need to know wtf he did. I'm guessing Bianca has never remembered before because her current self is scared of Mu.

So do they all have a relationship with Mu in each lifetime? They sure make it sound that way. Gender doesn't matter, but this time, the council would intervene just because Mu is female when all five of them had always previously been male. The first time I read this book, I got the impression that Mu may have purposefully done something in order to be born female eventually.

Kiania just hurt Bianca badly because Damen got pissed at her. Mu really is Huo's weakness and everyone knows it. Daniel Cole was going to use her against Damen even when he didn't know exactly how much she means to him or that she was Mu. Everyone targets Mu because of Huo. Damen really needs to get some self-control. Bianca is in enough danger for just existing without everyone wanting to use her to hurt him.

Damen just accused Kiania of targeting Mu before, but I got the impression that Mu was complicit in whatever deal they came up with back then. Mu made it sound like a secret whatever they were up to, so Huo ended up pissed at Kiania, but I'm not sure if he really should be. Granted now, she's made a successful three-way bond between herself, Bianca and Finn and breaking it would destroy Bianca. She's devious.

Julian wanted to murder Finn over this bond. But now Bianca realizes the voice in her head is Kiania's and told the guys. Danen knows how bad it is now and he's pissed now. I guess it's more dire if Kiania can actually communicate with Bianca this way.

Finn is an idiot. He still believes that Bianca was afraid of her abilities back then. She was only nervous because she wanted him to believe her, but he never actually asked her if she was actually afraid of ghosts and went with that story to the adults who assumed it was true and then set about convincing Bianca she was insane.

Finn is way more sensitive than you would first think. He's actually been shouldering a lot for being an 8-year old that got dragged into things because he was forced into the proximity of a Xing that didn't know she was a Xing and that her parents were keeping secret. Honestly, I blame them because they didn't even try to get support from their allies and went about everything all wrong.

They've figured out the bond and the real reason for that medication. She wants to defend Finn because she acted on her own when Kiania asked her to be her energy source. She doesn't want them blaming Finn. I barely remember this part from when I originally read this.

Bryce and Brayden were explaining why Finn was suddenly isolating himself as a child and Bianca put two and two together and told them about how they told Kiania to go away and Miles figured out what happened. Damen and Julian overheard. What a mess.

So that woman in the hospital that time really was Finn and Damen's mother. Bianca just found out that their father is the Dean of the school as well as being an owner. More shocks to her system.

I love that promise, Titus.
