While I like the principle of the love languages and find merit in them, this book was pretty outdated and old fashioned in child rearing practices. I would recommend reading “Good Inside” by Dr. Kennedy instead. Like WHAT IS ACTUAL SENTENCE FROM THE BOOK: “There, I did it! I touched myself and I can touch my child!” All I could think the entire time was how obvious this was written by an old man.
