It feels like they cut some content they really should have kept in the game. I really like the idea of Clicker Tag or showing Ellie’s trauma in how violently she brutalizes a boar she’s hunted. These feel like pieces the story was missing, but it would have been difficult to build up gameplay around them (except the clicker tag. Just also make it a snowball fight.)

The original idea was that Abby would infiltrate the dance seen in the first trailer for the game. From there, she would get closer and closer to Joel before killing him. They even have concept art.
