His heart thudded. This female — Lucitari, Lore’s sister — was his mate. And how fucking long had they both — Lucitari and Lore — known he and Lucitari were mates? Did they think it was amusing to watch him pining after Phrygia, knowing she wasn’t his? And why’d they let him claim her knowing that he’d at some point figure it out?
