It’s dark and the way the protagonist thinks can make sense at times. Even though his crime was horrid. This stood out since it sounds like how serial killers feel about sex workers they murder.
“The woman was a common whore and not capable of being raped. I was within my rights as anyone with a modicum of sense could see.”

Wow. this book is really like no other book I have ever read. The main character is creepy, then you feel a bit sorry for him, then you hate him and I couldn't guess where the story was going. The ending is a total shocker. Way to go Les Edgerton! You wrote a crazy good book!!!!!

I hate Truman Pinter with the burning fire of righteousness only a victim of such a thing can understand. Yet I can't stop reading. In fact, I'm so depressed and lonely (just moved, trying to make friends) I think I'm going to finish the book tonight, let that awful, brilliant, wordsmith Truman make my suffering a little less, as much as a cold man can. :-) Perhaps several different books tonight....

wow! This is a tough read. Meaning? The main character is kind of a sociopath. It's written beautifully. Good job Les Edgerton! : )
