Gosh what a slow burn but it’s fun. Mostly. The writing is a hit or miss spanning the full spectrum of the hit-miss rainbow. When it hits it really fucking hits, i think “wow what beautiful prose,” but when it misses it also really fucking misses, i want to whack Hilary on the head with a hardcover edition of her own book. Savoring this slow like i did Lonesome Dove and Cuckold.
