Status Updates From The Heart is a Mirror for S...

“Reading Off The Curriculum” was the most fun I’ve had reading a Lovecraft Mythos story in a long time.

Our Lady of Wicker Bridge: You wouldn't want to break a promise, would you?

Reading Off the Curriculum: A Miskatonic piece of humor.

Change Management: That was certainly a transformation, damn.

Lavinia's Wood: The story of the mother from Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror.

Finnegan's Field: Reread. Creepy and upsetting.

But for an L: The 3rd wife of a Hollywood producer not all is right with her husband.

Ripper: A Jack the Ripper story, with magic. Pretty good!

Better Angels: Burying a husband in colonial Australia leads to more heartache. (MURDER)

The Heart is a Mirror for Sinners: A prodigal son hides a deep dark secret.

Tin Soldier: A SF retelling of the Steadfast Tin Soldier.

Egyptian Revival: A fun little 1920s mystery.. Loved the heroine!

Neither Time nor Tears: Digging into her dead grandma's papers about an a dead relative from WWI.

No Good Deed: Reread. A girl regrets her marriage choices, but makes it right.

The Little Mermaid, in Passing: A retelling of Little Mermaid from the Sea Witch's POV.

A real pleasure to revisit the novella ‘Ripper’ and its wonderful protagonist, Kit Caswell. Next up ‘Better Angels.

Remarkably different and varied stories, but each has also been remarkably good. I’m enjoying myself.
