Reads a little like Foxe’s Book of Martyrs for the first few chapters. Monasticism is introduced rather suddenly and without notice before returning to early church history prior to monasticism. That section fits oddly in the book. It would be better modified as an introduction or removed altogether. The section on heresies fits oddly as well
