The kids and I are listening to this one on the way to and from school. It's been entertaining enough. I chose it because Aby loves baking and wants to be a professional baker someday. Also, Elliott will be reading a Midsummer Night's Dream in ELA this semester, amd it seemed like a nice way to introduce the story.

Overall, we've been extremely annoyed with the main character's lack of critical thinking skills.

A young girl wants to achieve the fame or praise her siblings and parents have achieved but she feels she is ordinary, unskilled and not talented. She does have a skill. She is a baker. It is Midsummer's Eve, and it is celebrated in her community. A mystery - an unusual boy, strange women in a new bakery and interesting events take place that help this young girl find her place in her family and community.
