Secret weapons - horrifying, my god

Pursuer - given how other reviewers complained about this piece, I was surprised to find that it's one of my favorites, the layers in who's narrating and the focus of the narrations and the true colors of the characters made clear though misdirection

At your service - How strange

Blow-up - I don't get it. Maybe I need to watch the movie to get it

Bestiary - so much said by not saying it!

Night face up - timey wimey, dreamy weamy

... parks -- perspective shifting again, I appreciate how this one is grounded in sensory experiences (the green chair)

Yellow Flower - existentialist; the reincarnation/immortality aspect annoyed me for reasons but that's arguably more an issue of the character than the author

Letter to a young lady... whose body?!

Cyclades - I think I keep expecting these stories to have Meaning but some of them are just stories, and that's fine!

House taken over - chilling

Short story month continues! Not sure I like the axolotl story though unfort (the writing was good, but the meaning/theme left me cold)

Picked up the book again after yet another gap. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed the two stories I read today: End of the Game, and At Your Service. I had had enough of the aloof/cool/stylish air of the previous stories, and these two were not that at all. Very refreshing, and narrated by genuinely interesting characters with their own viewpoints!
