Status Updates From Otherside Picnic: Omnibus 1

I like it so far, there is still way too much usage of "despite myself" and the book loves over explaining what I literally just read the chapter before. But to my knowledge this wasn't a serial and was published as one novel so I'm kind of confused on that part. It gets points tho for its pacing and the lovely lesbianism. Plus I love that Sorawaro is genuinely awkward and not just "quirky"

I don't get scared easily, especially from books, so it feels more right now like a dark sci-fi and not a horror novel but i'll see. I get more scared from like slow burn atmosphere stuff and not body horror althought I appreciate it.

Very enjoyable so far but the prose is a bit bland and the term "despite myself" has been said way too many times. I will give it the benefit of the doubt for now however because it is translated from another language. Plus horror yuri!

Genuinely such a fun book to sit down with when I’m stressed. Yes let’s fight ninja cats from some horror forum. Jeff the Killer next please.

I've finished part one. Just wow. This is my first time reading a novel when I've already read the manga adaptation, and it's such a strange but wonderful experience. I'm really experiencing the best of both worlds here. The Space-Time Man story is always going to creep me out the most no matter what form it takes. I honestly can't wait to keep reading more.

Since I'm now caught up on the english release of the manga, I'll have to start reading the novels to get my daily dose of Sorawo and Toriko shenanigans. I love these two boobs so much. Though I forgot how nasty Sorawo is in the beginning. It's a rough time being inside her mind, but honestly I can relate 😅
