Status Updates From Everything Is Love

This may be a long rant. I did not like this book. How did Baylee go from this “pitbull” who was so adamant about not having her heartbroken to just rolling over and staying with a man that lied and cheated on her. And on top of that she ended up taking care of his child more than his ass did! I just didn’t feel drawn towards the love these two were supposed to have for each other. I think I’m giving this a 3

This author likes to reuse the words hummed and based.

This turn in her personality does not make sense at all.

Another thing I can’t believe is that her brother isn’t more upset with Dakari. Like, he lied and cheated on your sister and that caused her to get into a car accident. Akil is slacking in the brother department.

Where did this whole mom wanting her to be perfect plot come from? This came out of nowhere. And why is she getting mad at her mom for telling her what makes sense! You don’t need to be with Dakari! Damn!

I don’t understand how she’s suddenly okay with being with this man that lied and cheated on her. This book isn’t making any sense. Girl. Ugh. I hate this book.

So….. we’re just accepting that this child is his? He didn’t even take a DNA test.

Da fuq Dakari?!? Why do these men always cheat?!?

Wynter’s child better not be his. I swear Kennedy Ryan has ruined me thanks to Queen Move.

Something else that makes no sense at all is her friends suddenly working for her. Did they not have jobs before then?

I just feel like I’m missing the development between these two. The author keeps jumping around and only giving us snippets of their budding relationship so it doesn’t make sense to me that they’re feeling this way about each other.

This book just feels flat to me.

It’s extremely weird how every time her mother is referred to her name is mentioned. We get it, her name is Marci.

I don’t know if I like either of these characters. They’re both bitter and mean.

How would she not know one of her best friend’s brother? That doesn’t make sense to me.

*lets out a loud frustrated groan* we’re getting a chapter from her brother. This better not happen too often. I hate this. Ugh.
