Status Updates From Sleep No More

Did not expect the sudden death of Eve. If “Mallory” was telling the truth then she passed to him, then she either stayed with him or passed onto the wife. Which wondered if “Mallory” wasn’t someone else who passed into her at some point. But now the potential of Cole and diaries thats an interesting plot development. Not sure which way it will go but if it’s Cole then I wonder if his wife is involved

I’m having an easier time reading this now. So far everything feels pretty predictable like the soul jumping. I more anticipate the mental instability of “Mallory” and her potential past and what she really wants

This chapter has definitely made things more interesting. Some very dark and twisted things that I didn’t expect, but also some things I did as the chapter came to an end. I do wonder if “Mallory” can jump bodies whenever she wants. That’s my current theory.

So main character’s business partner likes to hook up with married women and that’s just okay? Kind of make main character unlikable and his buddy. Which I guess is in some trouble since they didn’t strike oil? Kind of wonder if that means he will die. But the only likable person so far is the poor wife

It’s weird that this book takes place in Natchez Mississippi; like the odds of of it being that close to home is beyond me. I’m still only in the second chapter but not sure how I feel about the book so far. The man is obviously going to cheat on his wife and I’m not really for that route. Obviously the mystery of the past love is going to take play and that’s probably the most interesting part right now.

Haven’t started yet because it’s probably not a book to read before bed since it’s some sort of thriller/horror themed book. I am intrigued by the blurb to see if it’s a book I enjoy or just creeped out by.

I know middle aged moms in the 90s would eat this up
