Enjoyable read. A note to the author, I own a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and my daughter owns several of this same breed. They are loving, they'll sleep with you, hate to be left at home alone. This very social dog is terrified if loud noises and would run and hide under the nearest furniture to escape the sounds of fireworks "bursting in air".

The beach setting and light tone to the stories are ideal for summer reading. There are murders, mysteries and solutions and, of course, reasons to smile. A collection of stories with an upbeat vibe.
