Loving this. Light, funny, and it feels a little like watching The Lizzie Bennet Diaries again. Just what I needed.

We continue to follow canon. Charlie and Jane are finally together. Kate de Bourgh storms the library and chews Liz out demanding she refute the rumors that she is dating Darcy. Then Liz stands her ground, refusing to promise to not date Darcy. Even when Kate attempts to get her fired. Liz now knows she was wrong about Darcy and that he is the best of men. She longs for his return.

Stupid, stupid Lydia, what have you done? This Lydia received an inheritance, on her 21st birthday, of $200 thousand dollars and heads to Reno with you-know-who. He promised to make her a model, all five-foot-two of her. Lawd, that girl, and like canon, Darcy goes for the rescue. The amounts of money thrown about staggers the imagination.

Since I love a library, this story setting hit me just right. I am amazed how the author wove this story using all the character names [with a slight variation] that we know and love from P&P. The story line is similar with our villain Mr. Wickham telling lies against Mr. Darcy and using his smarmy charm to get money or get girls. What a sleaze.

I'm just in the first chapter and I am already laughing. Since I live in a small community, I understand the machinations of local gossip. I love the way the characters mirror P&P. I am so enjoying this.
