Ok, I take my rant back, a little. Beka made the stupid decision because other characters didn't tell her information she needed to know to be safe. I call it the "Harry Potter Complex", when characters in the know don't share the information they know, because they feel the other people need to learn on their own or, worse yet, to protect them. Ugh. Still unhappy, but less so.

Ugh!! Why!! Why why why why why?!? I HATE it when a character does something stupid, the only seeming purpose of which is to further the plot and create more drama. Especially when the character is supposed to be very intelligent. Arg!

Good, but bed time. Had to verify a HEA for my boss, she likes this book too, but didn't want to invest time in a book without a HEA. Not telling you what I told her, you have to read it to find out. :p

Her repertoire was limited in 17th century love songs, yet on the next page, she immersed herself in all aspects of this era? Which is it?

Rebeka is a scholar of this time, yet she can't act like she belongs? Really? She knows she needs to survive and to do that, she has to be on The Lord of the land's good side, yet she keeps pissing him off. For someone who is supposed to be intelligent, she sure isn't acting that way.

Spoiler!!! Ok, I'm kinda disappointed Rebeka didn't get to read any of the manuscripts or papers that might have helped her to understand where she went to in the past... If she did. I just started the chapter, but it sure does seem she may have gone to the past...

Spoiler!! So sad, she is literally the end of her line. Kinda weird, she's her own great-great-great-great-etc grandmaw. I hope she has a will...

So far so good...I always love a book about a woman from present day going back in time to a romantic and historical era.

This book just took a weird turn with the mc's and I'm really not liking Arik.

This is more of 2.5 star novel. The story is interesting enough, but her use of initial pronouns, which happen with most of her sentences, makes this read kind of boring. Variety is the key to life and good writing.

Long-winded intro. Get on with it already.
