These books are written like the author is on crack. They’re fun little comedy romps. That being said, this series lacks on several fronts. It is for children, so I can ignore most of it, but it can lead to eye-rolls at times. Ken has had two books and I can’t tell you the first thing about him. Leia is a damsel in these. I wonder how the back half of this saga is going to go. Hopefully better than the first.

Ken accidentally taking Han’s car was odd. The trade was a smart idea. Trioculus’s forces being overrun quickly was lame. Ken using the mind trick felt stiff and unearned. Luke and Leia reuniting after no page time of being separated was another weird choice. Everything lining up so perfectly is unbelievable. Will Zorba come back? Trioculus being frozen in carbonite was a good idea on Zorba’s part.

Kate the droid feels sexist in 2023. Zorba not hearing of Jabba’s death is surprising. Lando losing his elected official status due to losing at Sabacc is cringe as hell. Zorba’s method of cheating was creative. Kate falling off the house was comical and obviously to push the plot forward. Leia’s capture was lame. Luke would’ve slaughtered those men. These books are batshit funny to me.
