Status Updates From Legacy of Steel (The Legacy...

Last book next month.

Remember how I said that 100-page segment a couple days ago was the best part of the series this far? Well the 110 pages I somehow managed to read this morning give it some mighty competition.

Just a short section today to bridge between that last bit and what looks to be an explosive climax. Next section is 110 pages. Probably won’t get through it all tomorrow but by golly I’m gonna try lol

Y’all. Those 100 pages were hands-down the best section of the series so far. Or at least my favorite.

Pardon my French, but this shit is so fucking good.

The climax of this book has the potential to go so incredibly hard, dude. As is the continued plot developments have been unexpectedly thrilling!

Well damn. Guess the back half of this book is gonna be a shitshow for everybody involved, huh

I anticipated as much, but the politics just got murkier.

This bodes well for enjoyment 🔥

Had a couple days without really reading, so I’m getting back in. Half of the next major section read. The stage continues to be heavily re-set 👀

Purposely smaller progress today to give myself a short break and to get other things done. At last, the shift to a new character/location that I’ve been curious about all book - and so the second act begins 👀

The plot thickens. Relationships shift. Divinities are present. 👀

About two-thirds through the next major section and the action side of conflict has begun in a major way already! Different pacing than the first book, which is very welcome, especially since it yet follows in similar effect - i.e. by the ramifications of some of these scenes being unable to be felt in other locations until later. Ramifications I can't wait to see!

Most sections of the front half of this book are LONG, and so I read the first major section today and have fallen in love all over again. Just as the first book spent the early moments establishing and defining its major conflicts and political dynamics, the sequel followed suit. In other words: the potential is strong with this one, tho that doesn't actually surprise me!

The next section will take a couple days...

Only read the “Prologue” today to start - much like I did for book 1 last month. In some ways a similar Prologue to the last in that it kinda overviews a broader conflict that will likely be central to the whole book, but without necessarily being the *main* vantage of said conflict. Yet also a bit different in terms of the intimacy of the scene.
