Maybe I'm dumb I
Don't know, but I hate
Reading poetry where every
Line is broken up in a nonsensical way.
It hurts my
Brain.

That said I really loved the blackout poetry pieces. I'm DNFing because I'm not feeling excited to pick this up and I have so many other books I want to read.

She called me hers as if the state didn't already have claim to most of me.

A confession begins when the police perceive us as one. We must be one.

& Nicky says it's a wonder
how something that can have you hold another so
gently could be the ruin of all you might touch.
