I just finished reading book one. It’s average writing and average storytelling with a desperate need for editing. In a rag-tag mix of scenes that serve as info dump and fast-and-the-furious style chase scenes, the reader really doesn’t know who Cass is running from, or why. The stakes seem needlessly high for characters who are on the run because of an unfounded hunch on Cassidy’s part.
