Status Updates From Breaking Neverland: A Retel...

“This world is a strange, beautiful, hard place. The Maker gave people like you and your wife the ability to take us out of it, even if only for a few moments. Then, when we can see the world in a new light, we remember that even in all the darkness surrounding us, we were made for more than the misery that wearies us and makes lifting our heads difficult every dawn. We were made for more.”

“don’t you dare decide you’re done with marriage after this little adventure.” Wendy glared at him through red-rimmed eyes, but he only shook his head and put his finger to her lips.
“I want you to find someone who appreciates your stories. Get married. Take care of my Lost Boys....Have beautiful babies and live your adventures and find your happy ending.”
😭😭😭

“What are you doing?” Tink called after him.
“Ending this!” One way or another, this game was coming to an end.”
There's our "Hook or me this time."

“Jay wasn’t Peter. Jay went on adventures, but Peter rocked crying babies to sleep at night. Jay used the world as his personal breadbasket. Peter gave more than he ever took. Jay talked of having children one day when it fit his plans, but Peter couldn’t seem to live without them.
Also, Wendy loved Peter.”

Happy.” Slightly held out his blanket to Peter...Slightly’s “happy blanket,” Wendy had called it as she’d sewn the thing together...“Happy,” Slightly repeated. This time, he pressed the blanket against Peter’s face, where the tears had begun to roll down again. “Make happy.” Peter snatched Slightly up in his arms and pulled him close, praying that the little the little boy wouldn’t see him cry.”

This is so sad, and seems so hopeless. Good thing this is a fairytale.

Um WHOA 😳

Take that back…it’s now a love square?

Please not a love triangle *groan*

Peter Pan is a, um, god? What? Maybe I misunderstood that. 🤔

Oh. My. Word. Tinkerbell is SO annoying! I want to slap her! 😤

I’m excited to finish this second part and see what happens! The cover is stunning!! 🤩
