Status Updates From Siren Queen

Brant seems fun, and Greta grows on me as a character as the novel goes on. Luli Wei also grows on me, though I notice she is very ambitious.

This book feels like its gives owl house vibes, like with the smiling moon. I also think this story does a great job in demonstrating its premise of monster Hollywood, with all the different creatures. Also, the executive who continuously shrugs off multiple layers of skin is a great representation of personality layers, and just plain creepy. I also like Luly Wei the more the story goes on.

I find Oberlin Wolfes design interesting, he reminds me of emporer belos from the owl house. He has a human body that looks slightly off, but his true form is no longer human. It has a root like body, and no light or movement in his pupils. Also the friend from Sweden the main character meets is a breath of fresh air, who seems genuine.

The idea of a magic Hollywood, where you can trade years of your life sounds so awesome, and terrifying. This book feels like its drenched in cinema, I love it.
