Next chapter is about death related stuff, so maybe that will be interesting?

We learn in the book about turning our astral body into a werewolf familiar that is also you called a “fetch”. Which makes me think of that girl from mean girls saying, “that’s so fetch!” 💅

Learning about astral bodies…but this time…they are werewolves 🐺😎 I’m not sure if I should keep reading or not. I’m not going to use this, but I’m curious about the chapter that happens later where you possibly talk to the dead?

Back from my honeymoon! Back to reading the book about going into a meditative state, visualizing yourself turning into a werewolf, and then running around nude (to your comfort level) either in your house or the woods.

I don’t know if this kind of thing is for me. I don’t really have access to wilderness that is safe and far enough away from people. Maybe it will be fun just to read and imagine another person doing these things.

I am mildly irritated by the volume of growling you have to do for these rituals. Wolves do not growl this much. It’s not like purring.
Much of the rituals they present feel pretty cringe, I am uncomfortable with praying to Greek goddesses, and I feel bad because I can tell that whoever made this put a lot of work into it.

They talk about the tools you would need to perform this magic, and give a meditation and a purification ritual. I’m not sure I could pray to a Greek goddess though if I ever tried it.

Chapter one is like the history of werewolf cults and wolf significance in different religions. Interesting stuff. Best taken with a grain of salt like most history.

I’ll definitely be looking into the source material / citations. The same book (Baring-Gould, The Book of Werewolves) is cited numerous times throughout the chapter on historical accounts.
