Heavy on sex, light on character development. The initial conflict is extremely interesting but it's largely external and I'm getting bored. Note this author's work on PTSD are some of my all time favorite romance novels. This one not so much

I always appreciate the Trope of broken up and trying to reestablish the relationship. It's also disheartening to see how difficult it is to establish better patterns. I'm watching this couple and wondering if they're going to be able to do it. Sometimes the book resolves, but I don't feel the relationship patterns of dysfunction have resolved
