I’m really hooked on this book now. The characters have me very entangled in the plot, and the amount of heartbreaking, realistic situations these people are going through keeps me baited

The only George MacDonald book I’ve previously read was At The Back of the North Wind. So this is a VERY different book competitively. But it’s good, if you like old fashioned books! I’m hooked!
