Status Updates From Tess of the d'Urbervilles

"Then she grieved for the beloved man whose conventional standard of judgment had caused her all these latter sorrows" man I really hope this book turns into a revenge/murderess story but I'm pretty sure it won't!!!

Men are a scam. Romance is an insult. Civilized society exists to destroy the Peace of human beings.

So much now about this stupid guy and his stupid family and all the stupid human drama. I hope we get back to milking in the fields and stuff soon. This part is so ugly and exhausting and there's nothing to think about except how dumb it all is. I can't believe most books are like this, just people having social problems

It was mistake to start this in the first term back after summer 🙃🙃🙃

😭
