This book was recommended by Beth Francell since it's about the National Historical Fort in here in Fort Davis. What I like best about "Unlikely Warriors" are the details about his relationships with his family, father, mother, sister, brother, and especially his devotion to his wife Alice and their children. Alice figures prominently in the book on her own merits.
