I am on a roll! Another amazing story! Boy he is really not a nice guy.😳

There is some repetitive inner monologues but I’m not bothered by them like I have been with other books.🤷🏼‍♀️

I think the MMC is kind of an a$$. He’s too much on his head- so now we get to listen about his jealousy. A bit tiresome. I like Alfie, the 6yo kid, and Sophie is likable. I like how the women in this author’s books aren’t blushing virgins who have things done to them. They make a life for themselves to get out of a bad situation. I’m reading another book right now cause he’s annoying me. Will see…

Not very big on action, a lot of just telling. Like the things that are happening don't feel like they've had a big impact on the characters despite what the author is trying to say.

I don't know what is up with this book but I have a feeling we're supposed to be rooting for Lord Aberly, but everyone is so tense and miserable around him. The real romance should be between Sophie and the tutor. They have wonderful informal dinners, great conversations and everyone is relaxed and happy.

I would have liked a scene between Sophie & her son, explaining how Lord Aberley is his real father.

Hm. I understand what got them here. But immediately signing off that this dude is the kids dad seems a little rash. Now what's stopping him from throwing her out on her ear (again!) and absconding with the child?
