I feel this is a better read than McKay#1. Alot and I mean alot of characters are introduced in the first half (50% are alive and the other 50% are.... well...) I am developing a real warm feeling for McKay and his trials and tribulations. Looking forward to the end.

A much better start. Less about the bleak damp landscape of Scotland and more about the developing plot. Walters does a good job at making the reader develop empathy for the protagonist. McKay just might become a lovable grouch.
