A little too splainey and infodumpy but not bad.

Very YA. Overly simple, poor editing (very poor editing if I’m noticing it!). The main character can do no wrong according to the good guys and can do no right according to the bad guys. All the characters are flat with no depth. Some entertaining scenes, but eventually not enough to balance the rest out.

I’m abandoning this book. I just can’t take how know-it-all and full of herself that the main character is. What’s her flaws? That she knows everything and is right about everything? The prequel had me interested but this book.. just can’t do it.

The tone's already grating on me.
