not sure why I wanted to read this book - it is not what I expected but it is not horrible so far

I don't think this book is what I thought it was

I can't remember what page, but I think it was around 43 to 45 percent done.

Ahem. I do love Orcs. I am questioning if it makes me more forgiving to a not-so-great editing job. This isn't the first. See Finley Fenn obsession for reference. But at least I'm having fun (kinda, there's trauma).

I am bothered by the fact that the author is trying to say that babies are a badge of honor. But if that was the case they would have been monitored for pregnancy and separated immediately. Given special foods and monitored throughout everything. Not left to rot in a pen outside.

I bought this as a romance. I am about an hour in and so far I am not impressed. Aliens from space have invaded. They killed the men and raped the women. Now a little over two years later they are rounding up the women that had children from their rapes and want them to make more babies. Babies are a badge of honor. But they only seem to have male babies. And non of the aliens know what to do with a baby.

Ok WHY is this book so good??????
