I’m really enjoying this book but I can imagine the maths being a hurdle for a lot of people. The category theory stuff, which is the most abstract, is probably the most intuitive, whereas every time algebra is used or a graph with a key appears I feel “that’s another reader lost”. There’s clearly an attempt to be accessible but unfortunately maths literacy is just that poor across the general public
