Status Updates From White Ivy

So disappointed. This novel started out so strong, but I just petered out. I’ll skim to finish. I don’t like the main character any more.

Alright, it's a story about a Chinese-American immigrant struggling to fit in, wanted to blend in with other people but her family is so strict & outright controlling how's she's presenting (modest clothing and all of that jazz). Okay, cool, love a good representation. The 1st couple pages in, I was so confused of why's the GRANDMA TEACHING HER GRANDCHILDREN TO BE DISHONEST! Developing kleptomania, y'know, WTF?!
