Status Updates From Shady Lady (Men from Specia...

There's something about Thornton's writing that isn't appealing to me. The plot I'm liking (except the parts that involve the kid, Eric), and the characters so far seem interesting and authentic, or at least Jo does, but it kind of feels heavy and slow. I think there may be too much explaining going on. Sometimes it's better to show rather than tell, if you know what I mean.
