“no matter what you may gain or lose, do not relinquish this one thing you refuse to let go of. Do not relinquish that pride. Do not cast aside who you are. And may you…find bliss.”

It wasn’t that Shin possessed the strength to survive battle. He simply struggled with all his might to live, leaning on the pride that allowed him to fight to very end—the only bit of honor he had left to rely on—as his crutch. He wasn’t immune to injury. He was simply so wounded that nothing could hurt him anymore.
He truly had nothing left to support himself with except for that pride.
FINALLY LENA OMG I LOVE YOU

She’d thought she knew him, but now he felt so…weak and fragile, as if he might fall apart at any moment.

“Don’t leave me behind.”
those were the words Shin had wanted to tell others for so long now. To his comrades. To his brother. To all those who had been snatched away by death. But he had entrusted himself with the task of carrying the memories of those who died, so he couldn’t say those words to anyone.
Kill me
