Status Updates From Second Place

"I had to offer to do it [plant the spring seedlings] myself, even though I dislike doing work of this kind. This isn't out of laziness, but rather the feeling that my life entailed too many practical tasks, so that if I add even one more, the total balance would be tipped and I would have failed to live as I have always wished to".

So far a very odd read. I don’t know if I hate it or if I’m intrigued.
