The author seems (I could be understanding this wrong but I doubt it) to suggest that there is a difference between the Jesus of the gospels and the Jesus of Revelation, indicating that the author in Revelation has reimagined Jesus into a violent, worldly ruler. Hard disagree with the assumptions made in this book so far but I’m gonna carry on and see where this goes.
