Status Updates From Awake While I Die

Jason had experienced some kind of life altering tragedy that has yet to be named, but it's hinting at either dad died or divorce.

I suspect Taylor is the future romantic interest?

We've met the attacker but Jason just thinks he's going crazy and declined his help. Still don't have it spelled out that he's a vampire but the clues are adding up nicely enough to for sure suspect.

I'm loving the pacing so far. It started with a great hook and has progressed quickly enough to keep me engaged without getting bored! 10% is about chapter 5 and I have to decide if I should take a nap and be functional later, or go into another chapter.

So far, loving it. The level of details is perfect and it feels realistic and immersive.
