Her in laws were some real scary people, I was positively afraid of the MIL when she was witch Sylvia's son, she had lost her marbles that lady. I can't believe she went ahead with shooting the pistol. It was a happy ending however, I didn't much enjoy the whole conflict resolution thing but it was okayish I guess. I had expected a bit more excitement from this book to be completely honest

I kind of understand why Sylvia has an aversion to love and marriage, Norfolk was horrible to her.I can't even imagine how she'd feel if someday she finds out he wanted to leave her after getting his heir,truly a despicable human.Sylvia and Clayton clearly have feelings for each other but neither of them would confess.I don't know what to make of her father in law, does he really want to spend time with his grandson?

Although they were even intimate with one another, I don't know why I simply can't sense the kind of passion between the two that makes these historical romances so enjoyable. Sylvia has started to see reason and is willing to amend the rules of this society but I can't say this of the other two, their whole way of thinking is absurd. God knows how everyone would react when they find out about Sylvia and Clayton

Aha I love Eris, she is a naughty little child, no doubt she'd be the one getting Sylvia and Clayton closer to one another. They shared a kiss already! That was unexpected. I wonder how their next interaction with each other would go. Now that Clayton is supposed to become a member of this Mismatch Society, things are bound to get exciting around here.

I cannot believe that the time period this is set in, Sylvia and other women were able to accomplish what they did and did not have to face repercussions. But I like that the women are trying to be more independent. However whom are their manipuated brothers or male relatives supposed to marry if every woman refuses to proposals? I am curious to see what comes out of this meeting between her and Clayton
