Status Updates From Good Neighbors

Really interesting novel about how one Long Island neighbourhood was visited by a natural disaster and the residents totally flipped out. Fast read, enjoyable social portrait thus far.

kinda giving desperate housewives, but darker

I need someone to recommend this book to. OMG what is happening?! I don't normally read these types of books (suburban b.s., thriller upper middle class drama) but at the same time I do love some of Celeste Ng's books and she has a foreword in this. I hate to say it, but a Reese Witherspoon adaptation like Little Fires Everywhere is what I am envisioning. I would watch that show and yell the whole time.
