Status Updates From Marry Christmas (Christmas #1)

It’s like too many plots but none were developed quite enough. I get he confesses his feelings early on and is hurt she doesn’t feel the same way but he knows she doesn’t so to treat her like crap isn’t right either. But she shouldn’t have worn that gift from her ex so...
I’m saying 3 stars and hope the author works on improving their plots.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book.
Sure no one wants to be forced into a marriage, but falling in love with the “forced” mate is part of the plot. But then there is the evil I mother who literally locks her in her room for months (?), and the guy she’s in love with which seems like it’s own book/story. But the guy turns out to not be good, but not too bad either.

I feel like the pacing of this book is off, not to mention Christmas plays a very minor role.
Yes he's in love she's finally falling in love but now they're going to have a fight (rightfully so) but there's not much of the book left for them to really grow through.
I feel like all of this should have been done by the first 1/3 giving us 2/3 to work it all out and get our HEA now it will feel rushed.

Oh yes Henry is not going to be the Hero, which of course we knew but meeting him once was all I/we needed to see why. Of course a "love"struck 19 year old who is literally locked up by her evil mother is not going to see him quite as easily as the reader though so we can forgive her.

We've not met the Duke but just this first chapter had the wicked villain makes me wish Henry was the hero.

LOVED this book. the story was wonderful & the sex scence where hot!
