Bush lied about Niger sending uranium to the Middle East in 2003 as justification for war. With the talk of Iran and nuclear weapons I feel it’s relevant. It’s not easy to separate and centrifuge uranium from 238 to 235, which is what you need for a bomb. Iran does have uranium deposits and mines but we haven’t seen any refineries. Idk man I’m tired of men in power lying to start wars.

This is functioning more like a cultural history of mining and uranium procurement than any science background, but I don't mind. I'm learning new stuff.

The term dollar came from an early silver mine in Joachimthal. The coins made there were heavy, popular. Became known as Joachimthalers, then shortened to thalers, which was bastardized into the English “dollar”
