I’m not sure this series is for me. Much more realtime violence than I like to read about. Also some of the lingo is lost on me, and the conversations occasionally don’t make sense. I guess the author is going for “hard boiled” but I just find it annoying. I’m not liking the partner Cletus, he’s annoying, and I have not really connected with the MC yet.
