I'm thinking of dropping this one. I'm beginning to, for the lack of a better word, hate it, actually.

Slow-paced. A lot of fillers are seen in the last chapters, I get confused at the format and the changing of POVs since they both sound the same. However, at least we're on track with the *original and with the theme* plot.

on chapters 15-25 — I found Morris' POV bland. It's a mirror to Jill's POV, only a guy's version, more tagalog words, and seeing the past. I admit that I got a little confused since it's hard to identify whether it's in flashback or not. Somehow, I think the story is getting unfold.

15 chapters in — Apart from a noticeable amount of grammatical errors, I found Morie's (the protagonist) monologue to be the *center* of every chapter. There are less scenes; less showing and more telling.
A surmountable amount of introducing characters that I feel like they belong to the sidelines. E.g. Alexi's scandal(?), It just popped out of nowhere and disappeared in an instant.

Separating the work and writer (I am very much aware of all the questionable views of the author herself, e.g. on abortion, martial law, and the Marcoses)
However, I didn't know what type of 'aloofness' I was in last night before I slept. I decided to pick up this book and reread it (yes, this was one of my favorites during the great wave of Wattpad). I might do a full review on this, who knows?
