It does make the story more gritty and personal, and given the context of the book being human trafficking, it definitely makes the point come across much more intensely. I’ve found myself havin to take breaks more often than previous reads.

Greaney decides to do the 9th book in his series in first person narrative instead of 3rd and it is definitely a difficult adaptation to make this far in. We’ll see if it gets better
